The Committee sincerely hope that you are coping with the lockdown and staying safe and well. The last eight weeks have been a difficult time for everybody and we realise that golf and socialising plays a big part in the physical and mental wellbeing of our members.

The Prime Minister stated on May 10th that social distancing is to remain in place for the foreseeable future suggesting, therefore, that it is very unlikely we would be allowed to congregate after our rounds of golf for our meals, etc. even if the golf could be played. For the SLC&SGA socialising is just as important as golf at our events and so the committee have decided to cancel all events and matches scheduled for June and July and including the match with Berkshire on 7th August.

Obviously the situation is changing all the time so we will monitor circumstances as they happen and make a further decision on 13th July regarding the remaining events in the calendar for this year.

In the meantime let’s sit back, enjoy the sunshine and watch our beautiful gardens grow!
