Once again, a beautiful summers day, the sun shone and the views from the course were magnificent!
As Joanna our Competitions Secretary was playing in the County Div 3 quarter finals, Nannette Meeten and Liz Street stepped in and ‘held the fort’ to welcome the players at the registration desk.
Like most courses, East Brighton was looking very brown and of course there was plenty of run on the ball, however it was often running off the fairway, never to be seen again!
The front nine seemed to be easier but then the wind got up (probably due to the tide changing), making the back 9 quite challenging! The winners with a magnificent 44 points, were Rosemary and Peter Barford from Cooden Beach GC. They were obviously used to the blustery conditions!
Thanks also go to East Brighton for hosting the event and as well as an excellent buffet lunch which we all tucked into!
