President’s Competition with SGC
The rain and wind didn’t deter 22 of our ladies and 22 gentlemen of the Sussex Golf Captains from enjoying the Greensomes Stableford that took place on the Colt course at Worthing Golf Club on Monday the 14th August.
A lunch of sandwiches and coffee was followed by photos on the tee, courtesy of Worthing’s President Mr David Nicholls with Lady Captain Barbara Albon starting everyone on their way. The course was in excellent condition, very challenging and playing very long which was reflected in some very average scores.
After a long day and a few drinks everyone enjoyed an excellent two course meal followed by the President Nannette Meeten(SLC&SGA) announcing the winners and presenting the prizes, which were, in second place with 38 points Ann Prior from Pyecombe with partner Andy Plowright from Haywards Heath, closely followed by the winning pair of Lesley Talbot from East Brighton and Brian Hooker from Worthing with 39 points. Congratulations and well done to all who took part.
