As we made our way down the very long approach to Farleigh GC our hearts sank as we viewed the proliferation of knee high wispy rough surrounding the fairways. However, we were given a very warm welcome at the clubhouse and felt much better as we set out on our matches after a sandwich lunch.
Farleigh is a comparitively new course and has three separate 9’s surrounding the clubhouse. We played the Red and Blue 9’s which made up the aptly named Purple 18 hole course.
Our fears were realised when the rough proved punishing for any of our wayward shots! Despite this the matches were very enjoyable and the final result was 4-4.
