Our first Association Away Day took us to Puttenham Golf Club in Guildford, Surrey, where we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff, who looked after us exceptionally well throughout the day.
A field of 28 ladies set out on the course, full of excitement and looking forward to an enjoyable round of golf. The course proved challenging but everyone seemed to enjoy it. The day was made more memorable by the rain – getting wet for the first time in many months was a rare treat!
After returning to the clubhouse, we were treated to a delicious meal, which provided the perfect opportunity to relax and share stories from the course.
The room was filled with chatter and laughter, and there were many requests for an away event to become a regular fixture in our diary for future years. Judging by the smiles and positive feedback, I think it’s fair to say that our first Away Day was a resounding success.
