This year’s fixture with the Committee of the Sussex Golf Captain’s was played on the Lower course at Worthing Golf Club, the home of the current President. The course was in beautiful condition and we were very fortunate to play in lovely weather.
Wendy changed the format this year to a 4BBB competition off 90% handicap which seemed to go down very well.
Many thanks to Lesley Talbot who stepped in at the last minute as one of the ladies was not well enough to play, she came in from a round at her own course at East Brighton, jumped in her car and hot footed it to Worthing.
After a delicious meal the prizes were presented and congratulations go to this year’s winners Tony Bauckham (West Sussex) and Jane Price (Willingdon) who had 40 points and won on countback from Dave Harmer (Willingdon) and June Garland (Worthing) also with 40 points. Third with 37 points were Dave Wilkins (Sweetwoods Park) and Lil Cummins (Cowdray Park).
Wendy was presented with a beautiful vase from Eddie Noyce, President of Sussex Golf Captains.
